Four People Shot In West Village

Just after midnight, four people were shot at West 11th Street near 7th Avenue. At this point, all the police know is that none are likely to die. We'll check in later to see if there are any more details, but in the meantime, does anyone who was in the area know what happened? Update, 11/2: The NYPD had a couple more details this morning—the four victims were black males, shot in the legs and arms (no ages). No arrests have been made.

i live across the street and talked to the cops during the scene investigation on sunday morning. they said they were almost positive it was gang affiliated and that the victims held their bullet wounds and walked themselves to the hospital.

i live near 10th and 7th i heard those gun shots I keep telling my son that was gun fire not fire works . we saw the police helicopter up flying around with in 10 minutes of the shooting . they were flying around for awhile very low to the buildings

I think the word on the street was if you had Almond Joys, that's the sign.

Wow! Given that it was Halloween there should have been a ton of people in the street in that neighborhood (read, "witnesses"). Did this happen indoors? Are the four people related to each other or random victims?
