Embattled NY1 Anchor Dom Carter Kicked Off Of Plane

2009_10_carterd.jpg It's been a rough week for newsman Dominic Carter. First, the embattled NY1 political commentator was accused of "punching, choking and kicking" his wife, then he was put on leave from his longtime TV gig before being castigated by a judge for namedropping. To top it off, he was thrown off of an airplane yesterday after allegedly bumping into a flight attendant before take-off at LaGuardia Airport.

The embattled anchor bent over to tie his shoe and jostled the steward during the boarding of Delta Air Lines Flight 6707 to Kansas City — where Carter was headed to "just to chill, to relax and get away from it all," according to his aunt. The Daily News reports the steward — who purportedly recognized Carter from last week's ceaseless news cycle — didn't take kindly to the contact, and called the cops, "This man deliberately slammed into me, I want him off the plane!"

When cops arrived, the journalist and his wife Marilyn Carter — who, after initially accusing Carter of abuse, testified on Thursday that her husband was innocent and the assailant was actually a day laborer — exited the plane and took a later flight. "The airline apologized to me…[and] made good with some items for my wife and I," Carter said.

In fact, the debacle earned Carter and his wife an upgrade to first class.

Er...unless there's more to this story, he deserved an upgrade. The flight attendant flipped out because he bumped into her? I only get bumped roughly 500000000 times on every flight I take, I didn't know I could get people thrown off for that!

"In fact, the debacle earned Carter and his wife an upgrade to first class."

That was his first 'brush' with class.

I had the same thing happen to me when I inadvertently bumped a flight attendant's ass with my elbow as I buckled my seat belt. She was behind me and I was in the aisle seat. I didn't even see her until she started screaming at me, threatening to throw me off the plane. I filed a complaint with Air Canada, but nothing ever happened. I felt like name dropping while I drop kicked her, but I refrained.

If one looks at most flight attendants today, she should be so lucky that someone bumped her butt.

I believe the Al Poker, oops sorry, Dominick Carter thing had to do with carrying excess weight into the cabin and not paying additional fees for said weight.

When it rains it definitely pours for ol' Dom.

What with flight delays, lost bags, security lines, and hyper sensitive cabin service attendants air travel in these United States has become quite a challenge!

Someone is having a shitty week.

I think China has one of the friendliest flight experience in the world. They're very selective on who becomes a flight attendant, even judging them by appearance.

I hate this walrus. Hes always flapping his jabberjaws on NY 1. Hes annoying and egotistical. So nice to see someone ive always hated having some bumps on his road. Road to shitty hall folks.
