Artist Stephen Wiltshire has been hard at work this week drawing the Manhattan skyline from memory over at Pratt. He only took a 20 minute helicopter ride prior to getting started, "during which time he impressed on his mind thousands of landmarks, great and small." He told the Brooklyn Paper: “My arm starts to hurt sometimes, but I push on.”
Reader Katie Baker stopped by yesterday and sent us the above photos, she says, "the amount of work he was able to complete in just four short days was incredibly inspiring." Wiltshire is scheduled to be finished by 5 p.m. today.

Wow. Amazing.
Good Luck Rain Man!
Personally find this hard to believe. He must have done a quick sketch or made notes in the helicopter. Regardless, it is a magnificent display and looks like a wonderfully intricate artwork (from this pixelized viewpoint).

This guy is insane.
It's hard to believe, but very true. This guy has an amazing gift.
Amazing whether he does it from memory or not.
Holy crap, that's incredible.
It's been well documented that this guy works 100% from memory- as impossible as it seems, it's true..
Check it out if you haven't seen it. Truely incredible.
