Former Fox Reporter Pleads Guilty To Crashing into Horse

Mike Sheehan
Though former Fox 5 TV reporter Mike Sheehan originally said "neigh" to charges that he was drunk when he drove into a mounted police officer in March, yesterday he pleaded guilty to driving while impaired by alcohol. Sheehan drove into the horse and cop on Varick Street in Tribeca, leaving the cop with a bruised leg and the horse with cuts, bruises and scrapes; he refused to take a Breathalyzer test after the accident. In true Fox news style, Sheehan had claimed that the horse was actually to blame for colliding with him.

Sheehan was fired by Channel 5 after the incident; he had worked there for 16 years. A source at the station told the Daily News, "I think everybody knows Mike knows what he's talking about when he talks about the city. He is New York. I think it's a big deal. It's a big loss for us."

Yesterday Sheehan was sentenced to five days of community service, lost his driver's license for 90 days and was fined $500. His lawyer had no comment for the press, except to remind everyone that Sheehan is looking for work. Happily, the horse survived.

wasn't he the ex cop tough guy reporter ( shows how much I watch FOX) I think he actually started in Philly if memory serves.

So, it's Fox news style to blame horses for car accidents? So why did they fire the guy after this then? FNDS (Fox News Derangement Syndrome) never ceases to amuse me.

Especially since Fox 5 != Fox News Channel.

"Yesterday Sheehan was sentenced to five days of community service, lost his driver's license for 90 days and was fined $500. "

This i why there are so many DWI because of the lax punishment. He injures 2 cops (including the 10 foot one) and could have killed them and yet received NO jail time. Morgenthau sucks.

I agree, the sentence is too lenient.

Wow, someone Irish with a drinking problem. That's something new. Glad he's perpetuating the stereotype.

I think you are the one perpetuating it. For example, I was in a bar last week with several drunken Jews.

come on, it's widely known that stereotypes are acceptable as long as they are used against people considered to be "white".

How you know they were Jews in the bar? They may have been a few bad eggs Muslims getting drunk trying to get away from their overly restrictive mosque across the street.

How do I know? The same you know that Mike Sheehan is Irish!

Or would you just prefer to blame everything on the Muslims?

well that's not a headline you see everyday...

Leniency has historically been reserved for the white christian civilized races.

1901 The Senate adopts a resolution, introduced by Henry Cabot Lodge, to
forbid the sale by American traders of opium and alcohol "to aboriginal tribes and uncivilized races." Theses provisions are later extended to include "uncivilized elements in America itself and in its territories, such as Indians, Alaskans, the inhabitants of Hawaii, railroad workers, and immigrants at ports of entry."

1914 Congressman Richard p.Hobson of Alabama, urging a prohibition
amendment to the Constitution, asserts: "Liquor will actually make a brute
out of a Negro, causing him to commit unnatural crimes. The effect is the
same on the white man, though the white man being further evolved it takes
longer time to reduce him to the same level." Negro leaders join the
crusade against alcohol.

it's so cute when people get all in-depth and historical.

don't care about this idiot. I'm just glad the horse is ok.

well yeah historical facts are important,
i cant smoke pot legally because...

Makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.” —H.J. Anslinger, Bureau of Narcotics

“Marihuana is responsible for the raping of white women by crazed negroes.” —Hearst Newspapers Nationwide

“Marihuana leads to pacifism and Communist brainwashing.” —Anslinger, before Congress

1986: “Marijuana leads to homosexuality, the breakdown of the immune system, and therefore to AIDS.” —Carlton Turner

I thought all those Fox assholes were chauffeured everywhere?

this guy was an angel compared to
the alcohol fueled antics of Dunleavy and Povich during the 'current affair' days

Livestock have a well-known liberal bias. That horse probably bought Sheehan all his drinks and dared him to drive.

" In true Fox news style, Sheehan had claimed that the horse was actually to blame for colliding with him."

Hey, did you get your paycheck from the Øgabe Govt Run Media, or do you just lick their rear for pleasure?

How about Rick Sanchez, from CNN, WHO KILLED SOMEONE WHILE HE WAS DRIVING DRUNK, & of course got away with it, ala Ted Kennedy.
