While game 1 of the World Series didn't end the way Yankees fans wanted it to, fans were happy to see legendary catcher Yogi Berra. During the pregame ceremony honoring the country's veterans (the MLB has been "welcoming back veterans" all season), Berra was accompanied to the mound by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden—and Yankees captain Derek Jeter gave both women a kiss on the cheek.
The first pitch was thrown out by retired Army Capt. Tony Odierno, a West Point graduate and Yankees employee who lost his left arm in Iraq. Earlier in the day, Obama and Biden visited the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx. The First Lady said, "I'm happy with every minute that I spend time with our men and women in uniform and our veterans. Each and every day, they selflessly and courageously serve this nation," and noted that the bill her husband signed "gives the family members of wounded veterans federal family leave protection so that they can care for their loved ones without losing their jobs, something very simple, very basic."
Biden, a huge Phillies fan, did not seem to be wearing any Phillies gear, according to ABC News.

In the left hand picture, Berra's the one with the brains.
Politicians always have to be at big sports events and put their faces on TV. Yogi Berra has the right to be there and they should have another great Yankee player not politicians. When did Michelle and Jill leave? Right after the first pitch?
That "World Series" logo looks like it belongs on a cereal box.
