Yesterday, the city's program to give NYC school students swine flu vaccines began at 125 elementary schools. A 9-year-old at PS 157 in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn who received an injection told the Daily News, "My mom told me that the flu would hurt more than the shot...It felt a little bit sharp, and it kind of hurted." Aww.
The vaccine was also available in the nasal spray form; Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said, "This is a safe vaccine. It's free, and we really encourage people to get it," but some parents are still wary. The News says about 30% of the parents at PS 157 signed the consent form and the city officials said it seemed like 5-50% of parents had signed the form. One PS 157 parent told the NY Times, "The swine flu vaccine has not been out long enough for me to trust it. They have never gotten a flu shot, and they’ve never gotten the flu."
A principal of another Brooklyn school said, "Parents have a lot of questions, and it’s such a personal matter. I don’t see it as my role to encourage or discourage people — I certainly am not in the business of giving medical advice." (Some parents are also having their kids go to the doctor for shots.) I'm glad to see swine flu speeding up evolution by killing the offspring of all the idiots in the world. I just wish they weren't risking my health with their dimwittedness. (Which they are. Yours, mine and everyone else's is put at risk by these anti-vaccine freaks.)
The best way to avoid getting swine flu, is to get swine flu.
You have more of a chance getting an ordinary flu than you do with swine flu unless of course you're in the company of cops.

Concern about swine flu is fine but the threat is being blown way out of proportion. Good way to distract people from other issues.
Oh geez, don't tell me you buy into that "the gub'mint is trying to control your mind with vaccines" crap. If it helps, read the timeline. All the 'studies' linking any sort of autism, etc to vaccines have been blown out of the water. In fact, the original study linking autism to vaccines, published by Andrew Wakefield, has since been debunked because Wakefield himself admitted to fixing the results and faking it, PLUS the money for the study came from the lawyers who were trying to build a case against the company who made the vaccines.
By refusing to vaccinate you're just fueling what is essentially just a war between the pharmaceutical companies, who are consistently trying to debunk each other. Some people saw this fear and wrote patently untrue books and have seminars about this, and basically reap people for money (as all those books and seminars are not free). Seriously, falling into the "vaccines are bad for you!" think is just playing into the hands of people who want your money. It's rubes being ripped off.
It's socially responsible to vaccinate, and a lot of near-dead diseases have since revived because stupid people who can't do basic research buy into hype.

H1N1 was engineered by the Freemasons/Illuminati to cull our SS/Medicare herd and the vaccine to make the young stupid(er) and impressionable.

The Founding fathers were Freemasons and they were brilliant. They would throw a fit over the corruption over taken in this nation today.
An infectious disease doctor who's responsible for infection control at a very large city hospital you've definitely heard of told me Tuesday that 99 percent of the flu circulating these days is H1N1 (swine flu), so you do not have more of a chance of getting "regular" flu, whatever that means. If you have the flu now it's almost certainly H1N1.
And the H1N1 vaccine is made the exact same way as seasonal flu vaccines, by the same companies using the same techniques in the same facilities. The only reason H1N1 has its own separate vaccine is because the decision on which strains of influenza get included in the annual seasonal vaccine are made in November each year, and H1N1 didn't come around until around April. So it would have been part of the regular seasonal flu vaccine except it was too late to include it so they made a separate one just for it.
And nobody's "pushing" it. Get it or don't, up to you. If you're otherwise healthy then the worst that will likely happen is you may get the flu. Not a huge deal unless you have some other health condition that will team up with the flu to kill you.

This is NOT about conspiracies, this is about not trusting a rushed vaccine created by the Pharma companies that want to make a lot of money on a Pandemic fear that is being exarcebated by the media.
So this is about exposing corruption then anything else.
My kids have had all their vaccinations and my husband and I have always made sure that we found them thimerosal free flu vaccine because it's the option that we prefer.
Choosing not to give your children the H1N1 vaccine does not make you an anti-vaccine freak. I agree the vaccine was rushed out too fast and is being pushed way too hard by the government.

The fact that so many people nowadays do not trust their own government, despise Big Business/Big Oil and Big Pharma, and now the govt-owned media has lost all credibility should give them all something to think about. If this were the 50s, I'd gather that 90% of the American people would be lining up for this untested vaccine (psst, parents, guess what? your kids are the government's guinea pigs). But not anymore. People will not longer be lead by fear and loathing from the gov't. I can't believe so many people think gov't-run healthcare will be best for us all. Everybody's already forgotten how wonderful and helpful the gov't was when Katrina wiped out an entire city, and that wasn't a disease but a natural disaster. A gov't this corrupt shouldn't be taking hold of anything, certainly not my health since that isn't their concern at all but rather, to make more money for Big Pharma.
I agree and I love the fact that people are no longer sheeple in the cattle (though we still have some ways to go) like it used be.
Now people are wary and are questioning and want answers and this is what this country was founded and not on socialistic policies.
