Oh, just putting together a 28 page manifesto. The activists' new publication, the "NYU Disorientation Guide," [pdf] is chock full of delicious dissent, and best of all, it looks like another entertaining occupation may be on the horizon. In an article titled "Why Occupy?", the anonymous writer addresses February's sit-in: "Did we make mistakes? Of course we did... One thing we can all agree on, though, is that this is not the last you'll [see] from restless students at NYU." And one of last year's occupiers, who was temporarily suspended, tells NYU News, "We have to do what we have to do to be heard." It's so on!
But not everyone at NYU has been radicalized by the Disorientation Guide. Tisch sophomore Robert Szanto says, "It's only preaching to the choir. It's kind of like an overripe banana: On the outside, it looks harmless and nutritious, but once you get past the peel, your realize just how full of shit it actually is."

this is entertainment at its best. let's get a reality special. true life: i'm an nyu protester!
Hey Robert Szanto, I'm pretty sure you meant that about your diplomas.
In that case, we understand.
gotta love that overripe banana analogy.
I'd change the sign to say: Go to a CUNY School and Pay A-lot Less for a BETTER Education!
I think that would make more sense
Their whole premise for protesting is ridiculous. Did they just now realize they are attending one of the most expensive private schools in the country?
These guys should team up with those "rent is too damn high" guys. The work is 90% done, just add your own spin on acting batshit crazy and you're all set.
In college, Disorientation was at the beginning of senior year and involved going to lots of bars. NYU = lame.
Contributing evidence that being accepted to NYU undergrad has little to do with intelligence.
I worked at a firm for several years that has an unofficial, but unbreakable, 'No NYU Grads' hiring policy.
Idealistic college students used to protest things like wars and social inequality. Now they just whine about having to pay tuition at a school they chose to attend. It's amazing and sad how much things can change in 40 years.
"History repeats itself, the first time as tragedy, second time as farce."
Maybe that's "one thing we can all agree on."
These NYU protesters make me sick. They're fighting for a third rate education. They're just paying for the name of the college. It's no secret that NYU is a slacker school. You can get the same education at BMCC in two years that you can get at NYU.
I wish they would just go to a four year CUNY or SUNY and stop their bitching though they'd probably bitch because they'd actually have to do course work.
Tuition too high? Well I'm sorry mommy and daddy won't give you anymore money because they found out you spent all their money buying swag in Washington Square.
