W.'s New Chapter As Motivational Speaker

2009_10_getmot.jpg Former President George W. Bush spoke at the GET MOTIVATED seminar in Fort Worth, TX, telling the crowd, "I don't see how you can be president without relying on the Almighty... I can tell you that one of the most amazing surprises of the presidency was the fact that people's prayers affected me. I can't prove it to you. But I can tell you some days were great, some days not so great. But every day was joyous." There was love in the air; one man told the Star-Telegram, "I was ready to put him back in office." The Rachel Maddow Show's Kent Jones was there and heard, "George Bush was the best speaker so far."

I didn't know Republicans needed more motivation to stick their heads up their asses.

Baby Jesus must have been so happy when W started a completely unjustified war that killed infants and children and their mothers and maimed plenty of innocent people. Forget the sermon on the mount, W's christ told him to fuck some shit up, yo.

I guess the only people he could really motivate are those waiting for Jesus.

    I may be a failure, but I'm god's failure.

Uh, Mr. President, you do remember 9/11?

I'd maybe abstain from calling that particular day "joyous."

  • Atomische

I'd love to ask him specifically which days where "not so great" but still joyous (one not-so-great day sticks out in my memory) and on those days did he think that not enough people were praying for him? Or that too many people were praying against him?
