Wrong Way Driver's Family Can't Pay For Tox Reports

2009_10_schulerc.jpg A private investigator representing the husband of Diane Schuler, the woman who drove the wrong way on the Taconic State Parkway, killing herself, her daughter, three nieces, and, in another car, three men, says that Daniel Schuler cannot afford additional toxicology reports. Schuler had hoped to disprove medical findings that showed his wife was drunk and high at the time of the crash. Thomas Ruskin said Schuler would need to take out a loan, noting that his investigation and legal fees were expensive.

From the Newsday report: "Ruskin would not reveal the exact cost of the tests, but experts said the 13 tests performed by Westchester - plus the costs of transporting and storing them - could cost between $5,000 and $7,000 at a reputable private laboratory."

Really, you have no friends or family that could help you raise this money to exonerate your dead wife? It's not worth that much to them or you? Sounds like the truth finally sunk in and they realized it was pointless.

Compare this to the drunk driving off duty cop who killed the girl in Brooklyn and got off scott free after delaying breathalyzer and blood alcohol tests. You're telling me that science can determine whether a long dead and decomposing woman was drunk and high months ago, but they can't say if a cop was sloshed 8 hours after an accident?

The guy needs to let it go. His wife was drunk and high.

Enough, so he needs other people's money to prove something: he has one son left why doesn't he go & raise him and move on with his life already!!
