Fatal Stabbing At Washington Heights Restaurant

2009_10_casdel.jpg 1010 WINS reports, "An employee of a Manhattan restaurant was stabbed to death early Tuesday morning after ejecting three men from the 24 hour eatery, police said. The three men were taken into police custody and were being questioned." The 40-something victim worked at Casa Del Mofongo, which is open 24 hours and located on St Nicholas Ave between 182nd St & 183rd St.

This is sad, too bad really. The Heights is generally accepted as being a pretty safe neighborhood.

the word mofungo just makes it sound like it's about two heifers' worth of tripe hand-dumped into a yucamash shell with some peas for color. great food name: mofungo.

Most Puerto Rican and Dominican food tastes as bad as it sounds.

Lived near this place for several years, always a crowd there but never anything rowdy. Sadly these things can happen just about anywhere there is drinking involved.

that's why people are apathetic towards helping others or getting into others people business. if i was that guy, i wouldn't have said anything to them. if they where rowdy i would've called the cops.
