Steve Phillips, the former Mets general manager, has been fired from his role as a baseball analyst at ESPN, after his relationship with a 22-year-old production assistant was revealed last week. While ESPN's statement simply said, "Steve Phillips is no longer working for ESPN. His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways," a source confirmed to the Post that he was "canned."
Phillips apparently had an affair with Brooke Hundley, who allegedly harassed his wife—by actually visiting his house, having someone call their home, and sending her a letter with graphic details about Phillips' anatomy— and cyberstalked his son. Hundley also painted herself as a victim, by filing a restraining order against Phillips; that was dropped and Phillips and his wife never pressed charges against Hundley, with all parties reaching some sort of settlement.
Additionally, the 46-year-old's spokesman said he "is voluntarily admitting himself to an inpatient treatment facility to address his personal issues." (Sex addiction? Bad decision making?)

I don't know who this guy is and I really don't care that he's cheating on someone else I don't know.
file this under NOT WORTH IT.
Seriously. Losing your job and family for this cow is like robbing a bank for $25.
+1
ha!
"His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident that his taste in women is severly lacking. He clearly has vision problems and/or mental health issues."
Phillips will make his way to the MLB network now.
"voluntarily admitting himself to an inpatient treatment facility"
I believe it's commonly referred to as the "doghouse".
Tubby temptress? careful, don't hurt her feelings, or she will get angry.
I guess she won.
She defines the phrase foul temptress.
I'm so tired of the fat comments about this woman.
It doesn't occur to the haters out there are big women will do anything and try their best to please their guy.
Does that sound so bad?
That sounds terrible.
Really?
What can I do to make you happy sounds worse than You're lucky to be here. Now, what are you going to do for ME?.
And with big women, you get a sandwich.
It's not cause she's fat. It's cause she's fat AND ugly and gross.
And psycho. But, it's mostly fat jokes.
Treatment, eh? Maybe this is all one big beer-goggles fiasco.
It would be terribly ironic if after losing his job, getting taken to the cleaners by his soon-to-be ex-wife, and blowing his remaining funds on a shitty therapist, he found himself in a trailer next door to that fat skank's.
It would be preordained destiny.
