The woman who allegedly drove drunk and crashed a vehicle full of young girls on the West Side Highway—killing her daughter's 11-year-old friend—is reportedly so upset that she's on suicide watch. A sourced tells the Daily News, "The first thing she says to anyone who walks into her room is that she deserves to die. That she is going to kill herself. She's not doing well right now."
However, the victim's father doesn't want her to die. Lenny Rosado, who is grieving young Leandra's death (she was thrown from the car and died shortly after the crash), said, "Taking her own life would be a waste. I'm going to be thinking about it the rest of my life - what my daughter was thinking about when that car was tumbling. So should she."
Huertas, 31, faces vehicular manslaughter and DWI charges. Huertas allegedly joked about her driving when the girls became concerned with swerving. And today, one of the passengers in the car, Kayla Fernandez, 11, tells the Post that prior to getting into the car she told Huertas' daughter Brittany, "Your mom looks drunk." Brittany replied, "No, her eyes would be closed."

See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!
No sympathy for what she did.
and how ironic that the father (and stepfather) knew she should not be driving because they were with her when she loaded up with alcohol and did nothing to stop her. they are also accessories to the crime. you can all think about what happened while you spend the rest of your lives in jail together.
Agreed. How could those people sit at a party and watch her drink excessively--all the time knowing she had to drive SIX KIDS home to the Bronx?
What's an 11-year-old doing at a party at 1 a.m. where people were drinking?
Why wasn't Rosado there, checking on the driver of the car to make sure he/she was sober and responsible?
Hey... where'd my comment go?
It went where your comments usually go: Nowhere.
:)
lol
She didn't want to die when she was drinking. I hate drunk drivers for that...if they get into an accident their floppy asses don't get hurt while everyone else does.
I don't want to say what her retribution...but maybe she should...you know...never get in a car again...
She drove when her family begged her not to and she laughed about it. I'm glad she's alive. She's a murderous ass (like ALL drunk drivers) and she should spend every day of her life with perfect clarity hearing those screams over and over.
beelzebub awaits you. BYOB.
It's pretty sad when children die because our culture fails to correct such an obvious flaw in human behavior: drinking and driving. It's too easy to get mad and start blaming stupid people. What's hard is preventing such tragedies from happening again. But none of us will do anything about it--myself included--after all, it wasn't a child we knew.
Sure she wants to kill herself, and she wants to take seven kids with her.
Dying is too easy a punishment. She should live the rest of her life in jail knowing what she did. She is disgusting.
