Sad Panda Has RETURNED

Back in July the lovable Sad Panda went missing from his regular spot downtown, leaving the city traumatized by his sudden disappearance. But miracles do happen, people, and as of today he has returned! And it looks like he even got himself a new set of hands.

A reader sends along this photo and tells us: "Just wanted to report that this morning I got off the subway at Bowling Green. I rounded the corner of the park, and there, amazingly, was Sad Panda! He's back! Panda tip cup and all. It's really amazing how happy some guy in a panda costume can make a person." Indeed. Sad Panda, please don't leave us again.

Is this the new Naked Cowboy for the affected hipster set?

its kinda cute the way the migratory habits of animals confuse you city folks.

Sad panda just was waiting for the cool fall weather! Yay!

you know, for being so doggone lonesome?

I hope his memoir will be arriving soon.

He looks happier. Maybe he got treatment for depression over the summer.

Sounds like he got a "happy ending".

Sad bamboo is back in bloom.

For fucks sake.

Are there any NYC based poachers who can put this panda out of its misery?

Maybe the NYPD will arrest Panda.

Pay the panda $20 and he will pose with you,
and let you beat the S#$t out of him
during the kodak moments.

are we ready to bestow nyc icon status upon the panda?

Haha I have a picture of him when he was down on the subway getting in the subway car and walking away he got a lot of laughs.. I was more concerned if his head was going to get stuck going in and out of the subway car.

Dude, don't tease us, share!

I love this so much it's ridiculous.
