Alleged Kirsten Dunst Purse Burglar Goes Free!

phpRUpkdaAM.jpg There was never going to be a real winner in the Kirsten Dunst vs. alleged burglar case. Either millionaire starlet Dunst was going to send someone to jail for 15 years for stealing a purse, or a thief was going to get off with a slap on the wrist. The NY Post is now reporting that 35-year-old Jim Jimenez has been acquitted after playing what they call an "I'm too stupid" card; reportedly submitting letters and grades from his former Special Ed program that backed him up.

After days of deliberating, "the jury could only agree on a misdemeanor trespassing conviction for the special ed dropout from Coney Island charged with taking Dunst's bag from her unlocked penthouse suite at the SoHo Grand two years ago." Even though there was DNA and he was caught on tape, Jimenez claimed he had no idea he was stealing anything; he claimed to have simply took a Nobu takeout bag (which had Dunst's purse in it) when his friend Jarrod Beinerman handed it to him. Earlier this year, Beinerman was sentenced to 4 years behind bars for that act.

The statement "millionaire starlet Dunst was going to send someone to jail for 15 years" is impossible.

There is no such thing as a person being convicted of a crime and spending 15 years in jail.

There is a difference between "jail" and "prison." Despite what most people seem to think, those words have different meanings; they are not interchangeable.

"Jail" is where people are housed who either have been arrested and are awaiting trial, or have been convicted of a misdemeanor, meaning they will be incarcerated for less than a year.

"Prison" is where people are housed who have been convicted of a felony, meaning they will be incarcerated for at least a year plus.

So, to serve a 15 year sentence the convicted will go to prison, not jail.

shut the fuck up you just wasted so much of your time

reading your vulgar response (and others from you on here) it is obvious that you need to quickly take an anger management class or some yoga. Seriously, there is medication available that could help you, too. Look into it.

It's impossible for a much more basic reason. People do not send other people to prison. The state sends people to prison.

now you wasted more time. die and burn in hell you filthy pig

How did his 4 1/2 sentencing get overturned?

No sentence got overturned. Jimenez, the guy the story is about, was acquitted. His accomplice, "Beinerman was sentenced to 4 years behind bars for that act."

this is great news and yes, I've acted stupid to try to get out of stuff, too. I don't have special ed cred so I would have to be really convincing.
sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Good - it would've been embarrassingly ridiculous to imprison someone that long for a stolen purse.

OT, but that picture shows Kirsten as having MAN HANDS. She looks like she came straight from that Seinfeld episode.

No, the hands in that episode were more feminine than hers.

She should go on tiral for her dress sense.

So, being stupid gets you a free pass on criminal behavior? I wonder If George W. knew this all along. That might explain the moronic smirk on his face.

what the public should be asking is would the cops be doing an investigation, dna tests and have a trial in the news if some schmuck walked into a bowery flophouse and swiped someone's $20 purse.
