Baker "Strongman" Says He Stood Up To Mob

2009_09_roycrown.jpg During the trial of an alleged Gambino mobster, the Daily News reports that a Brooklyn and S.I. bakery chain owner Giuseppe "Joe" Generoso told jurors how he stood up to "reputed mobsters Anthony (Todo) Anastasio and William Scotto - telling them he was his own 'strongman.'" However, "What jurors in Brooklyn Federal Court didn't hear was how nine months later, gunmen ambushed Generoso at his Staten Island home and shot him in the face."

This blot not written well. Is Generoso the bakery chain owner? Did he survive? When did he testify, before or after he got shot? Now what? Right now it's a "who cares response"... Write it betta, huh?

Generoso should have allied himself with the neighborhood butcher and candlestick maker. That would've been fierce and had these lowlifes cowering.

-Did he survive?

-Why didn't jurors hear about the shooting?

Sometimes it seems you raise more questions than you answer.....
