The man suspected of fatally stabbing a man who bumped into him outside the James Farley Post office was found dead in a Philadelphia apartment yesterday—and he left a suicide note on MySpace: "I started to get defensive I told the man keep it moving no problems but if u leap I’m gonna fuck you up not gonna lie didn’t mean to kill him just wanted to stop the threat."
The Daily News has the full note from Sirmone McCaulla. He also complains that the media and police probably won't bring up how he "almost got stabbed to death meeting a friend after school on 59th st but that wont be mention nether because the need to make the public feel safe I was robbed at gun point blocks away from my house down the block from the police station and while coming home from a job interview I was on 51st st sitting on the steps waiting for the train reading a book when I was randomly attacked and the police at first tried to arrest me cause they couldn’t believe that I was reading a book when it happen cause I guess I don’t look like the reading type but then someone brought some of my things and the book that they swore I wasn’t reading to the police station down the block so my mind state is when someone is tryin to hurt me I get defensive."
Police say that McCaulla stabbed 20-year-old Christopher Gutierrez on Sunday afternoon. Surveillance video showed they had an altercation, with Gutierrez getting into a fighting stance but McCaulla pulled out a knife.

Sad.
All the way around.
PTSD?
Yeah. Very sad, seems he had a lot of anger and one poor sap took it all. Two lives lost for nothing.
I'm really glad his last statements were published.
It made me realize that he isn't just another thug.
Are the cops questioning his English teacher?
If he only would have used basic punctuation, this could have all been avoided. Damn you commas, damn you to hell.
LOL. But it's "If he only HAD used basic punctuation..." Thanks for the comic relief in an otherwise sad story.
Not necessarily more correct. "Would have" implies the speaker willfully chose to use incorrect punctuation. "Had used" is perhaps clearer but not more correct grammatically.
glad this was published too.. what a frustrating way to live with such a chip on your shoulder. always watch out for who you bump into on the street..
sad indeed.
he gave the guy fair warning. and those words, stop the threat, I bet law enforcement heard that term before.
Double tragedy: if only this guy had found some help.
His suicide was needless. Had could have beat the murder rap or at least gotten a deal and relatively little time in prison. His military record and past instance of being a crime victim would have helped him. Any halfway decent defense lawyer could have made sure he didn't spend much time in jail. An expensive defense lawyer could have gotten him to walk.
i dont know about that but he also complained about not being able to get a decent job and that now with a murder rap, he'd be really screwed
he was probably right
Yeah, you can stop a threat by running away. Especially when there is a crowd watching.
I almost felt sorry for the guy but then I realized he killed someone for "bumping" into him. and he had a kid. another classic narcissist, it's everyone elses fault but his. He should of thought of his kid before he kept it real. real dumb. Also, he got jumped on the mean streets 59th and 51st street? by whom? the gossip girl squad? chuck bass looks very intimidating in those bow ties.
Ahh I had the perfect comment reply to that, but too many 'Questionable Words' caused it to be flagged but the Fuzz.
But to answer your post, that wasn't the reason he stabbed him, but that's what got the wheels turning. Its a sad situation. And you'd be surprised how much gang stuff will go down in midtown. There was a near riot at the 42nd St McDonald's with multiple stabbings a few months ago.
After trying to make sense of that note, I'm not convinced that he read a book as he claimed in an earlier incident. Gadzooks, fella. Punctuation, spelling, grammar, capitalization, paragraph breaks, essay structure -- learn about them.
Wow.
The fact that he was expressing himself on MySpace in 2009 says all you need to know...
as in, he wasn't using twitter or facebook? the horror!
You know, I read shit like this, and sure it's sad... but, why the hell does this guy have a kid? Where in his long sad life did he come to the conclusion that he had the means to support a kid?
The real victim here is his kid. And she was a victim long before any of this ever took place.
I can't feel sorry for him. If he thought he didn't do anything wrong then why kill yourself? If in your heart of hearts believe that everyone is painting this false picture of you wouldn't you want to fight. I guess he wasn't as strong as he thought he was. And even if this guy did start with him then why not just walk away. Also if you were going to become a corrections officer for NYC you should have been getting you use to being bumped around and people yelling at you. What was going to stab everyone that gets in his face? I still can't understand any of this. What makes me more puzzled if that he stabs someone and just walks away like nothing happened. Thats the scary part.
He also should have at least used some periods in that letter.
