Markowitz Sour on Nyets Deal?

092509marty.jpg The Post gets one of their juicy "sources" to dish on Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz's reaction to the idea of a Russian-owned Nyets team. Markowitz, a big Atlantic Yards booster throughout the controversy and delays, is feeling a little burned at this point, according to "one operative": "It's a combination of anger and embarrassment. He signed on to a magnificent Frank Gehry-designed Brooklyn palace in the sky, and now he's got a foreign-owned big hole in the ground." But fuggedaboutit; it's still the best hole in the best borough of New York!

Reason for him to resign.

And eliminate the Borough Presidents office completely, as it is nothing more than a glorified cheerleading job. Which didn't do much for Atlantic Yards as it is.

Sounds like a good marketing tagline for Ashley Dupre.

Marty the biggest A-hole in Brooklyn.

What a flippin' comedy! NJ/NY Nyets. Brooklyn "Yards." The downsizing of Frank Gehry. Bruce Ratner and a rat-infested construction site. Now somebody named Marty Markowitz weighs in?" LOLOLOL!

Kill me please, I'm begging you . . .

Between Atlantic Yards and all the issues at Coney Island (both Sitt and the 'Potato Chip"), Marty is batting .000 on his big ticket projects.

C'mon Marty, either get off ya tuchus, get these projects right and show us yer stuff, or drop out of the election and get out before the jig is up!

I hate Marty - too bad Howard Golden is dead - he was a good boro president - a lot less obnoxious that this schmuck - but as someone said we could use LESS POLITICIANS not more
