Baby Sex Sting Snares Staten Island Man

092409sexsting.jpg Revolting: Police say a Staten Island man traveled to Pennsylvania for what he believed would be a sexual rendezvous with a woman and her 14-month-old daughter. Instead, Anthony Taylor, 48, was arrested yesterday in a pedophilia sting operation because the "mother" he'd been chatting with was actually an undercover detective working with federal, state and local law enforcement. The officer encountered Taylor, who allegedly used the handle "Tony The Staten Island Man," three months ago in a chat room called, ugh, "Start Them Early."

Over the course of their three month exchange, Taylor allegedly used graphic and profane language to describe his desire to sleep with the woman and her "baby daughter." Delaware County DA told reporters yesterday, "It’s disturbing. It’s sexually graphic and it indicates a clear intention to have that kind of intimate contact with a baby, a 14-month-old female baby." Taylor allegedly asked the officer online, "how far you want me to go with her," referring to the child. According to court papers, he also wrote, "I hope this is a long term thing... We can lay around in bed all day playing and having fun . . . all three of us. And just what will you two girls do for me?" To top it off, he discussed impregnating a fictional 12-year-old girl in the detective's apartment building.

The NYPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce assisted in the sting. He was intercepted yesterday on his way to the supposed tryst in a Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot, along the turnpike from New York to Media, Pa. Taylor was arraigned on multiple sex-related charges and is being held on $750,000 bail.

What kind of internet host allows such a disgusting website as Sttart Them early to be on its servers? They should be punished somehow, too.

This isn't a real news site, right? I mean, I'm disgusted as well by this, but I'm not reporting this story -- I'm just commenting on it. Or should I not get so uptight about objectivity here? Because I do prefer reading news stories, not news stories plus commentary. Let the news speak for itself, no?

  • Entrapment.

  • bellsandasiren

Please learn WTF you're talking about before you run your mouth.

In order for this to have been entrapment, this creep would have to a) not have been pre-disposed to committing this crime (really obviously not the case, given that they found him on a site called Start Them Early, ugh ugh ugh I want to vomit just thinking about it) and b) been an otherwise law-abiding person goaded into committing a crime by government officers.

    Pretty obviously not the case.

I also didn't mean to put two emboldened replies there either. I thought the first one didn't go through, and did another. Am I an ass or what? But enough about me.

why are pedophiles usually fat white guys?

  • miss_mess

he didn't actually do anything, other than have sick fantasies, and a desire and intent to break the law. but he never actually broke it.

what's the likelihood he'd find a REAL mother willing to engage him this way? the whole thing is just sick. not saying he's okay, or shouldn't be treated for what is clearly mental illness. just saying he didn't commit any crime here.

  • Spirit of 76

Are we supposed to wait before he actually does something before he can be arrested? What about drunk drivers? Terrorists? Until they blow something up, they should be left alone, right?
