Empire State Governor Strikes Back

Oh snap! Earlier today Paterson explained his friction with the Obama administration as partially the fault of the White House's own frustrations: "they haven't exactly been able to govern in the first year of their administration in the way that other administrations have, where you would have, theoretically, a period in which the new administration is allowed to pass the needed pieces of legislation." Them's fighting words!

i'm frustrated by this. i feel obama should be supporting the candidate. the picture on the cover of the new york times bothered me because paterson looks so obviously disturbed by the fact he's being snumbbed by the first black president - it is disconcerting.

  • blondeinthecity

so obama should support paterson because he is black or because he is a democrat even if paterson doesnt have PUBLIC support? you seem to be forgetting that he is a public servant and that society's (in the sociological sense) opinion matters, too.

maybe they can have a party in 3 more years to talk about when they were both in office and laugh at the morons who voted them into office.

He's just jealous because Barack has the 'vision thing'.

The pot calling the kettle....well, black..sorry, I couldn't help myself.

  • zodak

he's a fool but he's right, somehow the blind guy can see what is happening.

  • MusicMuse

Paterson is such a fucking baby. Honestly, I think he leaked the info about Obama asking him to not run again.

  • HOTCUP

pretty ballsy coming from somebody so damn politically unpopular in the first place. how does he expect to claim an ability to negotiate with the federal gov't on anything?

  • nicemarmot

All I can say is that I completely agree with both the comments above me...and seriously, has Patterson gone insane?

  • fuboy

Apparently, Patterson's angle here is professional suicide.

  • Qraymond

That is a classic case of projection if I've ever seen one.
