Video: Ernie Anastos Drops F-Bomb Chicken Combo On Air

Veteran NYC news anchor Ernie Anastos, who currently appears on MyFoxNY (channel 5)'s 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. broadcasts, spiced things up last night. Gawker explains, "Perhaps overloaded by transitive small talk between the weather report and a commercial break, Anastos — who once said 'dot cock' on live television — told meteorologist Nick Gregory that 'it takes a tough man to make a tender forecast,' and then, to the utter shock and appall of his co-anchor, Dari Alexander continued, 'Keep fucking that chicken.'" Huh?

Still weird! Last year, WNBC (now NBC New York!)'s Sue Simmons dropped the f-bomb during an off-camera live read promotion (but not during the actual newscast), "What the fuck are you doing?!" She appeared on the next day's broadcast.

I'm guessing he meant to say "plucking" but suffered an unfortunately timed Freudian flashback to his yiayia's farm in Greece.

Ernie is so friggin' weird and Dari is so smoking hot.

The person to pull me out of that would be crowned the next king of England.

Did you see the look on her face after Ernie dropped the F-bomb? Haha.

That is a bizarre slip to make. He's no Sue Simmons, I'll tell you that much.

I like Dari Alexander's reaction.

"Flucking" is not a bad word. In fact it's not even a real word!

FLUCKING - That's clearly what he said.

He's been doing this for HOW long??

Way to go there Tits Mcghee.

Listening to this joke may clarify the issue (and it's also the obscure source of a Beastie Boys sample):

If this is going to be that kind of party...

Maybe he was jealous of Sue Simmons?
;)

Priceless!

Awesome - can we get a backup of the video - it'll be gone in 4 minutes as fox starts to say copyright...

Now we know how Ernie spends his spare time...

Not a career ender. Arthur Chien cursed on air, lost his job, but made it back with another station. Magee Hickey gave the middle finger on the air and came back from it. Sue Simmons of course is still around.

And it's FOX. Chicken fucking appeals to their core audience.

"And it's FOX. Chicken fucking appeals to their core audience."

Classy...

I hate Magee Hickey -she once cut the taxi lineup at Penn station!! Did she get fired for that?? nooooooooo

Seriously. Anastos is a chowderhead.

That is AWESOME. I didn't think eyes could get as wide as Dari's did there.

He absolutely did not intend to say "plucking". The phrase he used has been around for a quite a long time as a juvenile reference to the KFC restaurant chain. It is preceded by his comment "it takes a tough man to make a tender forecast" which comes from the Purdue chicken commercials - "it takes a tough man to make a tender chicken." Free association runs amok, Kentucky Fried Chicken comes into his head, and before he can stop himself he blurts out the KFC joke he probably heard when he was 12.

Ernie's the best. Leave him alone. This is a non-issue. And the Fox bigwigs are a bunch of pussies.

Don't try to out-crazy Sue Simmons. You can't.

Agreed. Edwin.

It was a reference joke.

If it's going to be that kind of party, I'm gonna stick my dk in the mash potatoes.

the guy is a complete zero moron; how he lasted in the NYC market is a complete mystery to me. as you can tell i don't like the guy.

in addition to his 'talent' he lied to people's faces when he bought some radio stations up here about how everyone was part of his 'family'- then he turns around and has a hired henchman clean house capriciously and ruin people's lives... nothing more than a pompous blowhard - glad to see the chickens are coming home to roost for Ernie O'Nasty - pluck him!

Classless, illiterate, pigs on network news, what a shock. Just another reason why I don't watch the local news.
