Subway Sodomy Accuser Says NYPD's Lying Again

091709mineo.jpg Days after his arrest while sitting in a playground restricted to adults with children, alleged police-sodomy victim Michael Mineo has blasted NYPD spokesman Paul Browne, accusing him of lying about the collar. Browne had told the press that Mineo was arrested Monday night only after he argued with police who ordered him to leave the playground; the NYPD says that dispute led to cops checking his ID and discovering a warrant for his arrest (related to a community service snafu). But Mineo, who believes cops are harassing him because he's embarrassing the department with his sensational sodomy accusations, tells the Daily News, "They never even asked me to leave, never, it's just not true. They just handcuffed me and put me in the car." His lawyer adds, "We're going to add that incident and that statement to the federal lawsuit. It shows a pattern and practice of harassment." Mineo has filed a $220 million federal suit against the city and three officers are under indictment for the October 2008 incident.

THE DAILYNEWS is WRONG AGAIN...
"The tattoo parlor worker was arrested Monday on a warrant that was issued after he failed to appear before a judge to show that he completed community service for an unrelated assault case."

there is NO paperwork, no timecards, no timesheets, no proof of service, no sign in sheet, no punch card, no letter of completion, no certifcate, there is NO instrument that the CS defendant must carry, show, submit, document or prove that he completed community service.

further, there is NO JUDGE in PART ACS in brooklyn,
just a bunch of clerks who actually take you downstairs to line up & process any court fees fines which must be paid.

after showing up at the "last court date" there is again no proof given, no certificate, no paperwork, no disposition, NADA....

the court date is actually just another hurdle and totally unneccessary and punitive.

my point is anybody can go, even for something like having a beer on your stoop or riding a bicyle on the sidewalk and you can get a warrant because of a simple paperwork.

MORE DETAILS...

brooklyn webcrims shows that his next court date is MARCH 10 2010 for two differently dated incidents, also strange is no appearances and no details.
ACD is usually 6 months or one year, so why was he arrested on the ALMOST EXACT DATE 6 MONTHS prior to completion of ACD with NO WEBCRIMS DATA AVAILABLE FOR THE DEFENDANT OR LAWYER TO VERIFY?

a big gotcha from someone who knows how the system works...sit in court and youll see about 40% of the people are no shows, usually because they are indigent, homeless, or actually already in the system. there are no swat teams waiting to get the case and come cust down your door, i know plenty of people who have to answer for 20 year old warrants for silly teenage things that they just blew off the appearance due to just not giving a crap at that age or work/family emergencies, vacations etc.

if you sit in court and watch the show like i do, the warrants appearances are not precinct arrests, central booking, processing, maze thru the system, balony sandwich cases, they are brought in handcuffed through a seperate side door, uncuffed, say hello and walk out 99% of the time since the crime is usually petty and the warrant is based on paperwork clerical BS missed appearnces that show up in a traffic stop etc years later.

just be aware that these guys arent bank robbers skipping down on bail, they are regular people, licenses, businesses, property owners, jobs, DMV contacts, tax filers everything not hiding, some people just let it slip and the issue slides into the memory as no big deal,
until you have police contact where they look up warrants. most cops also let you slide for this, you can actually call up the court and ask if you have a warrant and they just tell you come in anytime and clear it up,
which repeats the same process, show up, get cuffed, jump the line of arrestees, judge dismisses charge, walk out, done deal. this happens all day in court.

If you have something to say, say it. ;)

He has a lot of time of his hands. He should hang out with this other beauty Mineo ... who also does not have a real job & wants to get over on the city & taxpapers like us. Fuck them all.
