I mean, really? Child prostitution? Does that stir your indignation at all? The thought of girls who haven't even gone through puberty being forced into the sex trade? That's what these ACORN workers were willing to facilitate. But wait, did you just say the filmmaker was a CONSERVATIVE. Damn, I'm sorry -- you're right, we should crucify him. Man, taping someone without their consent, and for right-wing purposes -- what evil! It makes child prostitution and human trafficking look like positively benign.

The state of Maryland requires "two-party consent" (you must get permission from everyone involved) when you record a phone call or conversation, so the undercover filming was illegal. The the same laws likely prohibit broadcasting the tapes as well.

As for his next "project," it really can't be that surprising that some folks tried to help him and his "partner," since they were no doubt acting like people who genuinely needed help from people who genuinely want to provide it. honestly, i go more towards the right than not, but i just don't understand this "reporting." JDS used the phrase "smear job" about the ACORN videos a couple days ago. now you're calling them "antics." i think those words would be better applied to the unfunny jokes about things like lucky charms in a college cafeteria than the amateur, yet revealing videos that o'keefe made.
