Re: samurai slaying in Baltimore
Damn.
Dead man had just been released from custody a few days earlier and he was back to his dirty business. Anyone who "lunges" towards a person wielding a katana probably has it coming to them.
True, but the student may be in for some trouble if the sword wasn't registered.
Hell do you even need to register a Katana anyway?
I think only in Meiji-era Japan.
Yeah, he needed one of these on his door.
I wonder if the Hopkin's student is training to be a surgeon.
That's Long Beach where the car flipped on the LIRR. Long Branch in in NJ. (Being a native of Long Branch, car drivers there are just as bad at keeping their cars on 4 wheels and off railroad tracks.)
I was a few blocks away from that house in Baltimore less than two weeks ago. I also did see someone with a katana go into my friend's apartment building. I wonder if it could be the same person.
Sneak into the garage and find out...
It's a common enough quest for a new Level 1 character. You send him down into the inn's cellar to kill enough rats to get to Level 2, and give him a little copper for his troubles so he can buy a slightly less-sucky sword. Can't fault a Dungeon Master for getting a bit lazy once in a while, especially when the player is a newb.
