Reverend Al Tweets About Michael Jackson's Burial

Yesterday, music legend Michael Jackson was buried at Forest-Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California, ten weeks after his death. While the attendees were limited to two hundred family members and friends (including ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, Corey Feldman, Macaulay Culkin, Barry Bonds, and Chris Tucker), the Reverend Al Sharpton kept his Twitter followers appraised of the services, Tweeting, "I am sitting at the burial services of michael jackson. I am talking to actress lisaraye mc coy who was at NAN when MJ came and tom mesereau," "What MJ went through was so unfair, yet he succeeded. In the end, he was the biggest artist ever. He faced the headwinds but he made it," "I just spoke at the conclusion of tributes. Gladys knight sang her heart out. Now we prepare to lay him top rest," and "MICHAEL JACKSON HAS BEENb LAID TO REST." Sharpton has defended Jackson's reputation and was at the Brooklyn MJ celebration last weekend.

The LA Times reported, "Jackson's children placed a crown on their father's coffin -- a nod to his moniker, the King of Pop... Shortly before 10 p.m., with his brothers acting as pallbearers, Jackson's casket was carried into the Holly Terrace for the crypt-side finale. The Holly Terrace is one of 11 halls in the Great Mausoleum, Forest Lawn's vast granite- and marble-filled palazzo that serves as the star-studded resting place of Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and other screen legends. The Holly Terrace is dominated at one end by an expansive stained-glass window. In keeping with Jackson's taste for the rococo, the cemetery in general is an expanse of elaborate statuary and architecture."

  • PTG in nyc

Except when it's sunny, like a funeral I was unfortunately at 3 weeks ago, people tend to cry without covering their eyes.

I'd love to tweet from the public beating of Al Sharpton

  • PKinNYC

jjst get his ass in the ground already....

  • MT

Tweeting at a funeral? You stay classy, Al.

  • Mookie Wilson

    Corey Feldman?

He wouldn't even be invited to Corey Haim's funeral these days.

  • mattyp4

Well, as weird as you may think it is, Corey Feldman & Michael Jackson were close friends from the 80's. So why wouldn't he be at the burial? Friendships, believe it or not, usually outlast showbiz careers.

(And Feldman would TOTES be invited to Haim's funeral!! Are you kidding?! Haven't you watched "The Two Coreys?!")

  • JenChungsBaby

It's about time they put that body where it belongs. MJ must look like Mao by now.

  • mattyp4

Macauley & Mila have been dating for years.

What's up with Tweeting during a burial though?! TACKY! God, I hate Twitter.

  • r1b2

Macauley Culkin and Mila Kunis? WTF?

  • PTG in nyc

If this is a funeral, then why are all of his brothers dressed like groomsmen?

Reverend Al, please stop being the self-appointed spokesperson for everyone and everything.
