Cops Shoot Robbery Suspect In Brooklyn

2009_09_glock10mm.jpg Police shot a gun-wielding robbery suspect in Brooklyn last night, at Howard Ave. and Marion St. According to 1010WINS, "Police say officers were canvassing the neighborhood after a report that two men -- one armed with a handgun -- had just tried to rob a 15-year-old...the officers spotted a man fitting the description and armed with a Glock 10 millimeter handgun." A police source tells the Daily News that cops told the suspect to drop his gun but the suspect "turned with the gun, and the cop shot him." Another witness said, "The cops started chasing him down the block. The cop was shouting, 'Stop or I'm going to shoot!' He tripped and fell. He was getting up. The cop shot him." The suspected robber is in critical condition at Kings County Hospital while the other suspect is at large.

should have popped him in the head, it would have saved time and hassle.

That photo is not of a Glock, much less a 10mm. COME ON GOTHAMIST, GOD!

Maybe the cops used a Beretta to shoot the suspect. Though I doubt it. In fact, I've never noticed any NYPD officer carrying one.

Most likely, Jen or whoever just figured any pistol pic would suffice, and it basically does effectively convey "story about violent incident involving gun."

"the officers spotted a man fitting the description"

    What might that be?

    Typical Snoopy comment.

He used a gun to try to rob a 15-year-old - because teenagers usually carry lots of cash and credit cards! Then he aims it at the cops? Jesus H Christ. Reminds me of that scene from Ruthless People

"This could very well be the stupidest person on the face of the earth. Perhaps we should shoot him."
