Apocalyptic Clouds Pop Up Over the City

Hey everyone, we forgot that the Apocalypse was scheduled for today. Strollers are being frantically pushed to safety in Park Slope, the sky appears divided from the UWS, and things aren't looking so good for the commute home. Sadly, the clouds popping up are more threatening than the gorgeous mammatus clouds we saw earlier this summer. Send us your photos before it all goes down!

I like the first photo Jen. Nice Shot!

Thank you—I looked up because everything started to look darker...and it was so weird, with the pretty blue sky just beyond.

Great pics!

Lightning hit my building and knocked out the elevators.

They sure put a swift end to my plans for an afternoon swim at the pool...

The 3rd photo has a great vantage point.

actually, we wound up with an amazing sunset tonight.

Yes! An amazing sunset! I was saying that it looked like rainbow sherbet, lol.

It really was gorgeous.

This has been a great summer in NYC for thunderstorms and cool cloud activity. That's always been something I've missed about home. Nice to get a little of that up here.

get ready for a harsh winter
