Tyra Gets Real In Union Square

Tyra Banks is bringing back her talk show this Fall, and declares that this time around it will be more real than ever. Whereas her other show revolves around physical appearance, her talk show will celebrate inner and outer beauty. Today she was in Union Square taping a segment for the show wearing a bodysuit and a scarf on top of her head. (A before-stripping-down photo of Tyra, smiling with her eyes in Union Square, after the jump).

Banks is ditching her trademark weaves for the debut and showing off her natural hair for the first time ever. She says, "We're taking it to the next level and getting more real than ever before by encouraging women everywhere to own and rock what they've got and be proud! I will be doing just that—no fake hair, I'm rocking my REAL hair." And now September 8th, 2009 will be National Real Hair Day (really), and everyone is encouraged to don their own locks.

I always avoid that part of Union Square: too many unkempt bushes.

Don't know about you guys, but I see nothing wrong here. If a flock of womanhood wants to pull off their clothes in USPark, well by golly, I'm all for it, with or without foreheads. Be more fun if they did it around sundown on the last Friday of the month. Let any who criticize them first post a photo of themselves in similar stance and garb. Little more colorful variety in the participants and skivvies would have made for a nice pic, but hey, that's just an artistic eval.

If she wanted to get real, she'd proudly show off how bald her head really is and not wear the head scarf. I find her tiresome and loathsome.

but then her large forehead is revealed.

They're better than the broomsticks that parade around at fashion shows.

    Boy, she loves attention.

There must be some special aggregate mix and binder in those paving stones to be able to sustain that kind of loading.

My question is why does Tyra get to wear a whole body suit while all the other women are wearing what actually resembles boring undies?

  • Nyctini11

Yup! My thoughts exactly, all the other women, fat rolls, muffin tops, etc, and Tyra's got on her head to toe Spanks! REALLY real there Tyra. She is so far from real.

  • hotstepper

love those curvy ladies -- giggity!

  • militza

eeek! those flesh colored body suits look pretty bad.

I wonder why they didn't choose color ones?

  • Tgirl

because Union Square is not congested enough....!

Making all the girls get almost naked while Tyra pretends...sounds real to me.
