Suit Says Alleged Rape Cops Stole Woman's Cell, Called Her Family
MyFoxNY
- During one of their three trips to the woman's apartment (caught on tape), the officers allegedly stole her Blackberry.
- In the days after the alleged assault, Moreno and Mata are accused of getting in touch with the woman's mother and brother as they were "trying to intimidate" the woman. It was around this time the woman met with Moreno and secretly taped him apologizing to her and admitting that he wore a condom during the sex, which he has claimed was consensual.
- The woman was out with friends at the Park Slope club Southpaw for two hours before the cab ride home to her East Village apartment in which the taxi driver would call police because she was too drunk to get out of his car.
- The woman is described as "a high-level executive at a well-known company."
- The claim also states that "other specific facts" about the incident would come to light if the city does not compensate her and she proceeds with a lawsuit.
The two officers are due back in court September 16th. A lawyer for the woman told the Post, "The notice of claim speaks for itself. We are continuing to cooperate with the ongoing criminal investigation."
