4 Injured After Police Cruiser, Car Collide In Brooklyn

2009_08_pocru.jpg A police cruiser responding to a call was T-boned by another car in Bedford-Stuyvesant earlier this morning. The incident occurred at Greene and Lewis Avenues around 3:30 a.m. WCBS 2, whose footage shows the cruiser flipped over, reports, "The two officers were taken to Bellevue Hospital. Two people in the other car were taken to Brookdale Hospital, where they are believed to be in stable condition. According to police, none of the injuries are life threatening. Police said they do not expect to press charges, and the incident was an accident."

And the 2 officers can now retire and collect disability. A win-win for everyone!

Okay, now I've lost my last shred of faith in NYPD traffic enforcement. No charges? It was an accident? How do you not hear the siren? Unless you're one of those idiots driving the four-wheeled boomboxes.

Lights? Sirens? How many times have you seen police cars run upto intersections and go through red lights. Big question is who had right of way and were the police responding to a call?
