Fatal Stabbings On Staten Island, In The Bronx

2009_08_sistab.jpg This morning, police found the body of a man—who had been stabbed to death—outside a car on Beachwood Avenue, Staten Island. The cops had been responding to a report of a car crash; it appears the victim, a 43-year-old man, was stabbed but still managed to drive a few blocks before crashing into a tree. And in the Fordham section of the Bronx, a 63-year-old man was found dead in his apartment last night. WABC 7 reports that David Holmond, who lived with his brother and other relatives, "had multiple stab wounds to the back." Holmond's brother apparently returned to the apartment, finding the door ajar "but there were no signs of forced entry."

Those of us who live on Staten Island were woken up at 6:00 this morning by not one by two news choppers covering this hovering over our houses. I left an hour later and the as***les were STILL there hovering in exactly the same spots directly above everyone's houses creating more racket than a f**king subway train. Does anyone have any idea how loud a helicopter is when it's echoing off hillsides at dawn?!?!

Can't someone create a law banning helicopter traffic over residential neighborhoods? We managed to get Mr Softee banned but these f**cktards can get away with this s**t?!? I get it when it's an emergency or even when it's a traffic helocopter, but there is no reason for news choppers to be covering something like this. What possible perspective could we have gotten of a tree-filled neighborhood from the air?!?! It's beyond infuriating. It's the first time in my life I wish I had a pair Stinger missles laying around.

Try living in a Manhattan highrise. When that crane collapsed in Turtle Bay last year we could hear it from our apartment. We could also hear the news helicopters hovering overhead nonstop for the NEXT TWO DAYS. Including in the middle of the night. I would love for those news organizations to tell me exactly what they were filming in the damn dark.

  • Oh, that's really annoying.
