while i agree with mr. horner that this is mind-boggling, i really take umbridge at the idea that following the law is somehow the "highest standards". if he won't pay his fines, can we hold him in jail, please?
Espada makes Rangel look like Mother Teresa.
And yet he will be re-elected next go-round anyway.
AND Yet his district will vote for him AGAIN.
Of course his district will elect him again. They don't care about qualifications. It's all about the ethnicity.
the same goes for Bloomberg. he will be voted again and so will Christine Quinn who plays the gay card to exempt her from criticism of all her corruption and theft

Impeachment

Prison time
He should be placed in a hanging cage in front of Yankee Stadium until he dies of exposure. But the best hope is that the Dems pick up a few more seats in the senate and then they won't need this asshole any more. Then hopefully they take away his leadership position, assign him to the dogwalking committee and ignore him.
if the bronx reelects this asshole, we should officially give it over to jersey, where sleaze is king.
BTW, Espada's lawyer Laurence Laufer used to be the lawyer for the campaign board that Espada owes the money to. Now he's taking money from the biggest sleeze in state politics to help him get away with breaking campaign laws. Nice.
