  • After initially vowing to remain as mayor despite being arrested on corruption charges, Hoboken Mayor Peter Cammarano is expected to resign tomorrow, according to Governor Corzine.
  • A 20-year-old Staten Island man has admitted killing his former girlfriend and burying her body in a shallow grave in New Jersey's Pine Barrens. He is pleading guilty in order for a suggested sentence of 23 years.
  • Bronx Beep Ruben Diaz Jr. issued a proclamation of Bronx Pride Day and spoke of his desire to push for gay rights—quite a contrast with his state senator father who has led the charge in New York against same-sex marriage.
  • A city council candidate's campaign manager defended the right of a politician to use the N-word "in attacking ignorance & racism," while defending Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney's recent use of it while repeating a story.
  • The Bonita on Bedford Ave in Williamsburg has abruptly closed two weeks earlier than expected.
  • Michael Vick says he's close to signing with a football team. He told reporters the news after attending a bankruptcy hearing, where his creditors congratulated him on his NFL reinstatement.
  • 9 to 5 will clock out on Broadway come September.
  • Every time Amy Poehler seems to be done with SNL, she sneaks back in for a little more. She'll once again co-anchor the Weekend Update desk during a couple of the primetime specials NBC has planned for this fall.
  • And print may not be dead, but an empty newspaper dispenser has been used as a trash can over the course of a month.
