Sorry if you don't like my 'agenda' - but reading Chrissie's victim blog last night turned my stomach and there needs to be some balance to her bullshit.

1. No, I am not a friend of Officer Witriol. I don't know him nor have I ever met him nor do I know anyone who knows him.

2. Your "eureka" moment there, (complete with exclamation) is false.

Whether or not Chrissie made anti-semetic remarks has nothing to do with anything I've written in this thread. The Post claims there is a witness to her remarks, and the photographer and his girlfriend have been shown to have not been at the scene for the entire duration, despite their initial statements to the contrary.

What I have written about, most of which is confirmed via Chrissie's own words - that she carried a sick animal on the subway, in the heat and crowd, causing it to vomit. (read: she caused the problem)

That she failed to follow simple instructions, became belligerent, resisted arrest, cursed at and humiliated the officer at the scene. That she sat on the floor and forced the officers to pick her up and then cried "brutality" - sending photos of small upper arm bruises to various media, including local TV, where she was interviewed the following day. She neglected to mention that she takes medicine that can cause bruising and that she bruises easily. Oops.

The rest of the smear job was ALL Chrissie-initiated, and apparently this is one of many similar situations she's been in.

As her 'friend' - why dont you clear up all of those past incidents? Was the previous poster making up stories about her being in Bellevue? Was she fired from all of those other jobs in such a short period?

Please, "friend of Chrissie" - dispel all the falsehoods being posted about your pal and let us benefit by your wisdom!!!!

You still haven't explained why you've selected this crusade to devote such energy to. There are millions of people on the Internet that are wrong about all sorts of things, and could benefit from the education that you provide so well. If this isn't about Joel for you, perhaps it's about Chrissie.

I chose to be here because the story and portrayal of Officer Witriol was unfair and unjust. And the more I pointed out the facts - you know, stuff like Chrissie saying at first that she didnt recall saying anything anti-semetic, then saying she didn't even notice Officer Witriol's religion, then later saying that she knew he was "obviously" Jewish, then later 'remembering' that she never said anything - absolutely nothing - about his religion. And then saying she was suffering from an anxiety attack during the incident .....

... and all the while people like you, choose to repeatedly ignore the facts and smear the office.

Now, why are you here? If it's to defend your friend, then please help us understand:

1. Was she sent to Bellevue after freaking out on one of her many former employers?

2. Why has she changed so many jobs in such a short time?

3. Are all of these reports of her personality issues all fabricated? If so, which are the lies?

If you want to add something to this discussion and support your friend by telling us the truth about these posts made in various forums - then you will be doing a real service. You know, maybe those posters are all wrong??

Do you spend hours involving yourself in every “unfair and unjust” story you come across on the Internet? Or only ones involving Joel? Or Chrissie? I refuse to believe that this is the greatest injustice worthy of your sustained attention.

Classic - you say you're her friend, but fail to defend her against any of those important and serious allegations made against her in various places on the 'net, but you keep making this about *me*.

The conclusions everyone can therefore draw about *you* are:

1. You either know those things to be true but won't confirm them.

2. You have no knowledge of them, thus making your claims that Chrissie 'couldnt possibly have done that' - worthless.

I'm sure your friend appreciates your support. If you were a real friend, you might look at all the reportage and comments, and then tell Chrissie to apologize to Officer Witriol, withdraw her complaint and thank god that he made two typos on her tickets that saved her hundreds of dollars. As regards your childish remarks about Officer Witriol correcting a single digit on each of two summonses, you actually seem happy about that. Perhaps you?/Chrissie should learn to accept responsibility for your actions, and not resort to blaming everyone else for your problems, most of which appear to be self-inflicted.

If Chrissie had any character, she would have paid the fines for the violations she ADMITS making, and hot having her "friend" make ridiculous posts such as yours. Also, a shout out to GothamPC for explaining why Officer Witriol wasnt at court to explain his correcting one digit on each of the summonses. (This is apparently proof to Chrissie that her human rights violations are, in her words, "vindicated".)

I was going to ask you what is it like to have so little going on in one's own life that they take this level of interest in an event between strangers and which, even the local scheme of things, is really quite minor?

Because I'm interested in this story and offended that this officer has been labeled a misogynist, that he punched an unarmed woman in the subway (in the back), that he threatened to have Brodigan's dog killed - and that the reporting about this seems extremely one-sided. personally i don't give a shit about crissie... i suspect she represents to me the majority of over-spending obnoxious midwest self-entitled williamsburgers... i don't know whether she deserved to be arrested or not... it gives me an evil pleasure watching her suffer though.

however, i think its disturbing that race was brought up at all, especially in the mysterious way it was + i believe it was completely fabricated --- as in my earlier comment, a highly credible neighbor of mine witnessed the entire event and claimed ms brodigan never said anything racist. i believe my neighbor. i hope ms brodigan doesn't get anything from her complaint... but i hope whoever fabricated the racist lies are held accountable.

You may be right about Chrissie's anti-semitic remarks vs. the officer. Or not.

I think all we know now is that the NY Post claims they spoke to someone named Viane Delgado who said she'd made those horrible statements. Gothamist asked the Post for information on this witness, but the Post never replied.

This can mean one of two things- either Viane Delgado exists and the Post got to her via some police report leaked to them, they found her by some other means (she contacted them, for instance), and I doubt the Post would share a source for a story with a blog like this.

Or, they fabricated the whole thing, risking being exposed at some point and dealing with the consequences, all over a local minor issue. That is possible though.

Taking that into account and then looking at Chrissie's responses to the Viane Delgado accuastions, she:

- initially said she didn't remember uttering those words
- later said she had no idea Witriol was Jewish
- still later said she finally did remember NEVER making those remarks
- claimed she had an anxiety attack at the time

So, that's where this whole anti-semitic issue is now. Witriol never publicy claimed anything, nor did any of the officers there. This came entirely from the NY Post, but IMO Brodigan's evolving story is at least as troubling as suspicions that the Post fabricated a witness out of thin air and invented quotes.

Officer Witriol wrote it, but then crossed it out.

NYorker - Brodigan said these typos resulting in the dismissals on the two citations "vindicated" her. You wrote, "the slightly altered tickets (altered after the violations were handed out) make the police officer look like he's hiding something."

You know, there were several police and several witnesses at the scene, and Brodigan herself was at the hearing. All she had to do was say, "Judge, in the interest of being honest and truthful, I will confirm that the incident took place at 4:51pm, not 3:51pm. Officer Witriol made a typo. Now lets go forward with the facts and I will make my case for having these tickets dismissed."

Nope. Instead she escaped responsibility for her actions and then, because of a lucky break which she took advantage of, starting writing more garbage on the net, claiming her positing was vindicated.

Only her case was not heard. NOTHING was 'vindicated'. That she wouldn't just walk away and thank her lucky stars for the typos wasn't enough, she had to continue throwing stones at the officer.

As for Witriol not showing up at the hearing - what does that mean? That his boss didn't want him to waste a half day for a $100 fine? That he made plans to celebrate that Jewish holiday (mentioned above), that he was on vacation? that he wasn't notified? That the boss told him not to bother as her lawyer would get the citations dismissed because of the typos?

With all the witnesses to the exact time and place, it's ridiculous to believe that Witriol intentionally entered the incorrect time - on purpose.

Brodigan is still due back in court on the other charge - we'll see if he shows for that.

Woah, what did this girl do to you? You're awfully obsessed with this story and this girl. I'm compelled to point out a few things:

1.) This all started when she couldn't find her photo ID fast enough, but it's clear that he never told her why she needed it to begin with - and, didn't include a reason for why she was asked for ID on her ticket, so it would have been dismissed anyway. Why pay a fine if you didn't do something wrong to begin with? Cops have to follow procedures - is he just a bad or dumb cop? A cop that can't follow basic ticketing directions isn't someone we want with a gun is it?

2.) Is it against the law to walk away from a cop and say something rude like "fuck off" if he's not writing a ticket? No. Dumb? Yes. Illegal? No.

3.) If Witriol showed up at the hearing his testimony could be used against him by the CCRB, and don't you think his union lawyers want him to shut the f up? And, since you've been out there gathering evidence you've heard that there was no police report filed - right?

5.) As for her story? Ever occur to you that she might have been dealing with some sort of post-traumatic stress? Or, do you think she gets beaten and arrested often enough that she should be used to it? Violence against women in any situation is F'd up. Did he think she was going to run away with a dog in her arms? Lame.

6.) And Ray did tell the press last week that he feels that Brodigan was handled too roughly.

Seriously though - what did she do to you? I mean, you hate this girl with a fierce passion. Or is it that you love her and she hates you?

This is how you handful of Chrissie's Pals all support your friend. By ignoring all of the facts in the case and trying to discredit those who back up their words with the facts.

I am not 'obsessed' with Brodigan, I don't hate her.

Having said that, and having played your game, here are replies to your points:

1 & 2. This did not "all start" when she couldn't find her photo ID fast enough. Chrissie herself said that she WALKED AWAY FROM THE OFFICER. By all accounts, while being observed violating the law (Chrissie admits she was breaking the law) she was asked politely to produce her ID, and in response she walked away from the officer.

Is it illegal to walk away from and curse at a Police officer when youre being stopped? You tell me, legal genius.

Your question assumes that she "didnt do something wrong" - and your question is therefore not a valid one. She herself admits to resisting arrest. Carrying any animal on the subway without a carrier is against the law. No one is arguing that point.

3. You make a lot of assumptions and draw conclusions about the officer not appearing at a hearing over two inconsequential tickets. You have no idea why he didn't attend, and neither do I. My educated guesses make more sense to me than do yours.

5. As for Chrissie's story being a result of post traumatic stress disorder... what are you saying? That because she has some psychological issues, she's entitled to lie?

While its true that there are a lot of posters on this, the NY Post and other forums claiming to know Chrissie from here, DC and VA and suggest she has a long history of these kinds of behaviors, no one has said her PTSD caused her to lie in this incident.

Her story certainly has "evolved" though, and the questions I asked above regarding her numerous contradictory statements to all sorts of media - remain unanswered, even by someone who claims to be Chrissie's friend.

FACTS:

1. Brodigan walked away when the cop said, "You want to act like a woman, I'm going to treat you like a woman." Would you want your mom, girlfriend, sister, etc. to hang around and be treated that way by a cop?

2. Having a sick dog out of a bag is humane NOT illegal. Don't you think the cop overreacted by putting handcuffs on her? How do you produce ID if you're cuffed?

3. Witnesses who took photos testified to the CCRB and back Brodigan's story up. CCRB has the 911 call placed by the witnesses who were trying to get help for Brodigan.

4. Dumbass cop altered all 3 tickets & didn't go to the hearings - WTF? If she was so guilty why not show up? He didn't show up because anything he says goes to the CCRB, which is investigating has more than 4 complaints against him. He has a lawyer and a union making sure he doesn't fuck things up anymore for the department. What does Brodigan have?

5. Brodigan lost her job after being suspended pending an investigation into the NY Post's claims of bigotry, and the day she had her hearing her CEO/boss at Plum TV was fired. Coincidence?

6. Cop was obviously Jewish, but why bring ethnicity into the discussion at all? The only reason it came into play was because the NY Post created a story. Do you think Brodigan was more focused on his ethnicity or her pug? Do you know Brodigan to be a bigot? That's a hell of claim if you have no evidence (your word) to back that up.

7. Post Traumatic Stress, have you ever had it? The last time you were beaten, handcuffed, violated, and jailed - did you have a press release ready to defend yourself against another assault by the press. Having a dog out of a bag and then having to answer absurd questions of bigotry made by a tabloid is a leap.

8. Viane Delgado, the Post's witness who started the story of Brodigan yelling racial slurs, has not been found to date. There is no record of her existence.

As for Brodigan's background - wtf? (again) how long have you known this girl? Do you believe everything you read online? Is it possible that people are just assholes who go out to cause trouble? Does everybody you've ever met think you're remarkable?
