Andrew Bird Plays Green-Wood Cemetery
We previously mentioned Pitchfork's latest venture of filming live sets from musicians inside of the Historic Chapel at Green-Wood Cemetery, and yesterday they debuted a beautiful video featuring Andrew Bird. Quirky socks: check. Multiple instruments: check. Sweet soothing sounds: check check.
When we chatted with Bird earlier this year, he said: "I prefer to do more, like, multiple smaller shows than one big blowout. We've been running the whole spectrum. We just came from Europe where we're playing smoky, sweaty clubs in Germany, which is pretty good for morale." Hey Pitchfork, you should invite some fans to these intimate, morale-building tapings!
