A couple more details and one sexy photo have emerged regarding the 25-year-old former Chase Bank financial adviser accused of siphoning over $100K from a millionaire's private account. While Robin Katz sits in Rikers Island on $50,000 bail, the Post is drawing from a bountiful stash of photos yanked from Katz's MySpace page. (It's unclear whether the Post grabbed the snapshots before Katz pulled her profile or if the tabloid's shared membership in the Murdoch family of companies yielded extra access.) A police source says that after arresting Katz, investigators found an ATM card and four withdrawal receipts connected to the account of Wall Street broker Dorone Ilan Farber. Auditors say Katz created the extra ATM card in Farber's name, making dozens of withdrawals from his account. Police think she used the money for shopping and partying, but a tipster claiming to be a friend of Katz's since 2005 tells us she saved up enough to put a down payment on a house!

Well if tipsters claiming to be friends are talking to the Post, it seems reasonable to assume they're also Myspace friends, in which case they'd have access to her profile even if it is now set to private.
More reasonable than that crazy Murdoch corporate conspiracy theory, anyway.

But the Post has tipsters, too: "Carise Raney, 26, a pal of Katz's from the banker's days at Smith College in Massachusetts, said she invited Katz to a family event in West Virginia last weekend and that she had agreed to come."
Well, that's one way to get a down payment.

1) make sure no one knows or sees
2) cover your tracks as best you can
3) launder the money

I know nothing about Robin except for what i've read here, but i have to imagine that as she sits in Rikers and contemplates how she'll be spending, oh, probably the rest of her 20s in prison and then have no career prospects afterwards, she says to herself "my god, what have i done... for a few extra pairs of shoes or drinks at a club, this is not worth it."
How could you be 25 and 'advise' anything?

Dorone Ilan Farber had a fling with Robin Katz. Why not, a rich Jewish broker with high testosterone level will like to mix business with love affair with a hot young well educated Jewish girl. It was a match made in heaven. He spoiled her and wooed her with a card to his account. They broke up for a reason and he decided he wanted a revenge by sending her to jail.
I am not her friend. But after reading this, I suspect the things may be more complex.
