In Homecoming, a high school quarterback who won a scholarship to Northwestern brings his fancy new girlfriend back to his blue collar home town for Christmas. His ex-girlfriend, played by the recently institutionalized Mischa Barton, is not pleased, and when the new girl gets hurt in a car crash, the movie takes a turn for Stephen King's Misery. Hollywood & Fine calls it "risible. Homecoming is the kind of movie that makes you wonder what the people who made it were thinking while they were making it. I’m not a mind-reader, but I believe it was something like this: 'Gee, I hope nobody notices how ridiculous this all is.' Or perhaps: 'OK, I cast Mischa Barton because someone thought she’d be box-office insurance – but nobody told me she couldn’t act.'" Also, fuck this movie for even coming close to stealing the name of Harold Pinter's masterpiece.

for people who actually care about HP- i thought this was the best movie yet.
Rex Reed hates it when modern technology isn't utilized to its fullest!

Zooey Deschanel is freaking HOT. 500 Days of summer sounds like a good movie.
I liked her until she started talking about her boogers and saying New York is dirtier than L.A.
^It was good. This post is missing the fact that Zooey Deschanel is in 500 days of summer and that she is a friend of gothamist!!!
