- It's a tallest-building-off in downtown Brooklyn: There may be the 51-story Brooklyner, but there's a proposed 58-story rental building set for Willoughby Street.
- A Glastonbury, Connecticut city councilwoman entered a drunk driving class—she was caught on videotape during a drunk driving arrest telling the police officers that she approves their salaries.
- Mayor Bloomberg wants to add another party to this year's ballot—the "Jobs and Education" party, which the AP calls "essentially a marketing trick." There wouldn't be a new party-line, it would just be added to the lines he's already running on ("Republican/Jobs and Education" or "Independence/Jobs and Education").
