Is Ellen Degeneres starting a boycott of growing burger chain Five Guys? This poorly-written flier says so! Eater found some of these stuck to the windshields of cars left on Waverly Place last night, but this is the first anyone's heard of night manager Carlos "Leo" Rivera's "discriminating views" of the neighborhood gays.

Reached for comment today, a manager at Five Guys told us Rivera is off today, and he denied any knowledge of the "past following weekend" incident, in which he allegedly insulted a customer's sexuality. But the illiterate flier guy never lies!

Ellen's manager at ICM is on vacation. But upon hearing about the boycott, the manager's assistant told us she "highly doubts" it's true. Developing...

Ellen doesn't BOYcott anything. She will, on occasion, BLOODCLOT a business.

  • UnrepentantFenian

I thought gays were all attractive, successful, fabulous dressers. How did the illiterate moron join the team? Maybe the flier writer is only bi-curious.

Why can't a gay man get some meat between his buns without being harassed ?

    "this past following weekend"

Wait, I get it. This hasn't happened yet. A gay John Connor could still prevent this tragedy!

Henry Ford was a prominent Nazi supporter.

I don't see anyone boycotting Ford.

  • Dirk

they're is a clear difference between their and there.

    humor joke.

  • Rocknrope

Sounds like one gay guy with a printer trying to drum up some support for his lonely boycott.

  • jaycjay

Clearly if Ellen DeGeneres or any other celebrity actually were calling for a boycott, the first step would be a press release or in the case of a celebrity with a TV show, a statement on the show. A sloppily-written flyer slapped up around the neighborhood? Not likely.

To all of the above posters: why don't you bother to actually read the article? This supposed boycott is based on Eater finding some badly written fliers. If Ellen were to actually launch a boycott, don't you pinheads think that maybe she would have made a media announcement and announced it on her show? So just calm down - don't be so quick to slam her. It's pretty obvious that she has nothing to do with this.

  • whitecastlerock

    Gee ya think?

  • Kojak

We know. I just find her annoying.

  • whitecastlerock

We are the reason their in business Yeah this is well thought out. The cherry on top of this illiterate crap is, "Support Our Cause to Get Mr Rivera Out Our Hood" Umm yeah...

screw her and every other hollywood activist shill! 5 Guys makes some damn fine burgers at workin' man prices.

  • AvenueHebrew

I'm pretty sure of two things:

    1) You're overreacting.

    2) DeGeneres has nothing to do with this. Other than being the go-to "name" that some childish jackass uses to validate his grudges.

  • hotstepper

if i can't choose to overreact to each and every unprofessional random announcement (especially dirty restroom graffiti) well then, my hebrew friend, you have taken my will to live.
