16-Year-Olds Involved In Fatal Love Triangle

2009_07_lovt.jpg A 16-year-old Bronx teen was arrested and charged with murdering his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend. Kevin Santiago apparently became upset when he saw ex Alma DeJesus, 16, with Michael Silva, also 16, in DeJesus's apartment building hallway on Sunday. The Daily News reports, "Santiago chased DeJesus down the hallway until DeJesus ducked and hid inside her mother's apartment...After Santiago banged on DeJesus' door, screaming for her to come out, Silva approached and ordered the ex-lover to leave." Santiago, who screamed, "Who the f--- are you?", then "turned his knife on Silva, stabbing him once in the chest." Neighbors says that Santiago had been stalking DeJesus for weeks and believe that he intended to kill her. Santiago and DeJesus (pictured) have a 7-month-old baby together.

How come no one interviewed his aunt or another estranged relative to mention the fact that he's a good boy and an A student?

Great, so this asshole will get out in 5-7 years. Why again do sex offenders need to register their location but not shitbags like this guy?

Woah the fact that these 16yos are parents deserves more attention than the last line of the post. DeJesus is more that just Santiago's ex, she is his baby mama.

Where are the parents? My mom will beat the sh*t out of me if I dated at the age of 16.

The parents, probably btwn the ages of 30-35, where were downstairs sipping gin & juice. It is summer. Duh..

Where are the grandparents (ages 45-50)?!

Rikers. Or they've moved to the Poconos. The next urban ghetto.

Who else thinks she's probably incubating Silva's spawn right now?

btw, the comments at TDN are a laugh riot.

16 year-old with a 7-month old. 16-year old ex kills another 16-year old boyfriend.

Winners all around.

Your taxpayers' dollars at work. "Parents" have probably been raised on Food Stamps, prenatal, kid delivered on Medicaid, WIC coupons, public school paid. No to mention the "priors", the cost of investigation, incarceration, autopsy, court-appointed attorneys, then incarceration of the perp, with counselors, visitations, prob/parole costs, etc. No address cited, but likely "public" housing, meaning take no responsibilty & live for free at the expense of those who accept responsibilty. Won't say anything bad about the victim, no knowledge. Yes, I know, the system failed them (sarcasm), but they have also failed civilized society. Would love to see what this whole group cost us, as we look at our W2s and groan.

You get what you pay for, pal. Europeans pay higher taxes than we do, and I don't see them whining about it. Look up the statistics on average level of happiness by country -- ours has been going steadily down since the fifties and lags many other first world countries. The Scandinavian countries are the among the highest (with Denmark at number one) in how happy their citizens are. They're doing something right over there, and it ain't having low taxes. I don't care how much taxes I pay, I'd rather just be happy.

As I've said before, what exactly is the problem with putting birth control into the water supply that goes to public housing?
