  • A man driving with a suspended license killed another vehicle's passenger on the RFK Bridge when he "swerved his 2002 Nissan Altima across several of the Manhattan-bound lanes of the bridge Friday night" and "T-boned the 2004 Dodge pickup truck at 7:50 p.m."

About the driver with the suspended license who killed a passenger in another car: Maldonado, who was not seriously hurt, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license.

He was also arrested last year for harassment and menacing and later convicted of the charges.

Maldonado was driving illegally and killed someone because of that and is only charged with driving with a suspended license??? What has happened to our common sense?

If this is the best that the DA's office can do, someone needs to be fired there and replaced with someone who has the appearance of competence, at least.

Really, I don't see how this isn't at least vehicular manslaughter. But it sounds like "driving with a suspended license" is what they are using to put him in a cell until they can charge him with something more (hopefully). In other words, that's what they arresterd him for, they have to have a reason to put him in cuffs, but what he is actually charged for may be something more severe.

I totally agree. These individuals need to be put away. Only then will the punishment start making sense.

I really have no problem if they killed the individual, some might, I don't.
