Video: Parrot Busking in Riverside Park

Someone's been bringing their parrot to Riverside Park, near the 79th Street boat basin, to entertain passerby—and one spectator has just posted this video!

Read more about Manhattan parrots here—guess they're less annoying than those darn mockingbirds.

Anyone know what days/times the parrot is around? Thanks!

How nice from the owners to give some green time to the parrot.

i run by this parrot all the time. his owners usually sit in the benches opposite the flowers, leaving him alone. he blends right in wit hall that greenery. i admit that his squawk when i unknowingly run right up to him has scared the sh*t out of me on numerous occasions. and usually i jump up in the air, mid stride, much to the delight and hilarity of the owners laughing across the way!

That could be dangerous for the parrot. I hope his/her wings are clipped sufficiently so he can't fly away. Another source of danger is the many hawks in nyc.

    The owner is a moron.

I used to run there every day, and I often saw a pet parrot there by the garden. I wonder if that's him.

Awesome, except he seems to be at the gardens at 90th street, not the boat basin -- in case you go to check him out.

If all parrots are as boring as that one, I say off to the hat factory you go.
