More On The Allegedly Pervy Landlord

The East Patchogue, Long Island landlord who allegedly put videocameras in a tenant's apartment to spy on the 16-year-old daughter was held on $20,000 bail. Police say that Louis Basco, a self-employed handyman, "wired surveillance cameras to peer into the 16 year old's bedroom and bathroom. They say he gained access from her attic, where he comes and goes as the property owner." Tenant Robert Hayducka said, "He had a camera in our ceiling, which there were holes in my bathroom and in my daughter's room. Nowhere else were there holes but in my daughter's room." It's unclear how long the monitoring has been going on, but the police found enough circumstantial evidence to arrest him. In the mean time, the family has issued an order of protection against him.

YEA YEA ..look the girl moved away from her mon-dad,lived thear 4 five years,this is a FACT,louis is really harless it like a joke gone wild look with web cams in every place takeing your photo and giveing you a speeding ticket, and so on ,this was louis not thinkng.correctly,the point is in the renters aggrement thear is none it was strickly cash.the judge in this case will find he not gulty,we shall see i dont bennefent one way or a nother i am just saying i know them and louis by no way wanted to harm her or her family.and this is not sexual.i also was fedd up with new yorks GUn laws that fact you cant have them my taxes are $100 a year with out eney car inspection and so on.so maney people have finaly work up and are selling thear homes also to move off long island ..i do miss the great south bay,and have to vist one a year to eat some pizza. .

HELLO I know louis and the rest of the bosco family they are good people.i am not defending him on this but he louis is NO pervert,and yes he should have told them about this ,it must have been to protect them from attacks or break ins. the trailer remarks are funny but the truth is that the high taxes in NY have forced so maney home owners to sub rent out thear home to pay them.they also say they she lived thear 4 five years so she was 11 when she lefted her home from her parents.so how dose mr bosco collect his rent money now .I say they will not leave his land and try to sue him 4 everything,all this stress has caused mr bosco to lose all his hair,louis is harmless this is true ,thear was no movies or evey thing copyed ,we shall see what takes place after his court date,i trust him with my kids,he is a good person,thank you christopher fenner kingston tn i had to move from NY because i could no longer pay the taxes thear,

So he was protecting her from perverts by filming her sleeping, getting dressed, using the bathroom... and "he louis is NO pervert, and yes he should have told them about this", I can just picture that conversation. 'Hey, uh. So funny story. I've got cameras in your daughter's bedroom and bathroom for security reasons. You're cool, right?'

Christopher Fenner, are you sure it was the NYC taxes that fueled your move to Kingston, Tennessee? Or maybe you feel better by the abundance of totally-not-perverted men in trailers filming 16-year-old girls there?

Hold on here people. Did the dude live in a camper or a trailer? Did anyone get the year make and model of that camper/trailer? Will it be coming up for auction later this year? Where in Appalachia is it located?

I still don't understand why she " went into (his)trailer to turn off his television set." That's seems odd, no?

While the Post says that, the ABC News story says "But it wasn't until the 16 year old girl ran outside to say hello to Basco that she caught sight of a chilling image of her own bedroom on a monitor through his camper window."

It also says that in addition to being the landlord he was "a close family friend," in which case it isn't quite so odd that she might go into his place while he isn't there. Perhaps she saw the TV was left on and was being helpful.

Or perhaps the Post got it wrong.
