NYPD Pieces Together NYU Dorm Fire with Party Photos

This generation's obsession with instant nostalgia and visually documenting every part of their daily lives serves as the punchline in this Onion News Network piece. In the story, an NYU dorm is set ablaze during a party, and "after examining the evidence from the 25 iPhones, 15 Blackberries, 10 video cameras and 40 digital cameras obtained from the students who attended the party" the entire event was reconstructed, placing blame on chain smoking 22-year-old Danny Gordon.

Sort of like CSI meets Last Night's Party (or whatever the kids are posturing for these days).

sexy poses indeed. the girl in red is so cute.

Indeed. Girl at "party" in red definitely the highlight of the show.

too bad no name credits at the end for the hottie girl in red.

That guy who is flexing is the gay dude from gawker.

This is really old news -- saw this weeks ago on Curbed.

The one on the left looks super srutty.

I LIKE the goofy sexy poses! I also appreciate the casting of said red-shirt hottie.

She's wearing too many shirts.

These parties that offer unripened Persimmon cocktails must stop.

I'm gonna send this to a few people I know who feel it's necessary to document every moment of their lives through camera, phone and any other recording device.

what? the human brain isn't good enough anymore?

I have a friend that when he goes on vacation doesn't take pictures... he says he prefers to take a good look at the sights. I tend to agree with him... despite being a photographer...

Hilarious how you can see ppl hitting bongs, girls pretending to lick a dildo, passed out ppl beinf drawn on... all while the cig is starting a fire....

What's a party without the obligatory tag team dildo picture? LOL!!!!

Amazing...nonstop party photos are finally good for something.

After reviewing the tape, the appropriate school officials have determined that indeed the said individual seen dropping the said cigarette is the said cause of fire. He will be fined $30 and suspended for one semester (the summer semester.) Back to you Chet.

At long last: you can 'twit' an arson.

This is definitely one of the funniest things the Onion News Network has ever done... but it's also about 5 weeks old.

...
What? Real news on The Onion???
Huh?

What? People still getting fooled by The Onion?

But as has been said, this is pretty old. I saw it on the Onion site weeks ago. Still funny if you haven't seen it before, I guess.
