As Stuyvesant High School prepares for prom this weekend and the end of the school year to follow, word is that their school librarian has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse. The News reports that 56-year-old Christoper Asch is accused of inappropriate behavior with male students where he "massaged students' shoulders and backs, touched bellies and ran his hand through kids' hair." The Department of Education intends to fire Asch after having him reassigned to the rubber room last fall. According to a report obtained by the Post, "He'd creep the boys out even more by smirking or whispering in their ears to be quiet while he groped them in the library." His lawyer told reporters, "Mr. Christopher Asch categorically denies engaging in any inappropriate conduct with students, and ... intends to vigorously defend the charges."

ewww. there is only one kind of student at stuy. Nerds. Asians. Kids with glass and Nerdy Asian Kids with Glasses. This guy isn't only a child toucher but he's a child toucher with bad taste.
I resent that. Stuy grad here, and I'm not asian, don't wear glasses, and am only moderately nerdy.
So I have a question for you, big fella - what do you consider a "child toucher" with good taste....?

Hmm.. he was very softspoken and friendly, but I never really heard anything about him being a perv. oh well. There's always a creepy teacher at every school.
I'm a senior at Stuy with a few days left in school. I can confirm that this man was a bit affectionate in a somewhat creepy way. I would hardly say that he was molesting us students though.
I mean, sure, after the backrubs and the hair-ruffling, I stayed out of the libary. Still, the fact of the matter is that that was nothing close to the psychological damage caused by having 4 or less hours of sleep for the last four years. And I don't mean 4 hours per night.
I couldn't survive on more nowadays.
