Once more, a repeat post.
How horribly tragic for the family of the Farmingdale student. Thoughts are with you.
very sad. I don't quite understand why that imbecile student they interviewed Justine Stefanelli was grinning and laughing while she was talking about it.
I HATE when the news interviews morons on the street.
The Farmingdale student lived on Sweet Hollow Rd.
That is...interesting. [cue X-files music]
I am trying to figure out though how you manage to get backed over by a garbage truck. I mean it's not exactly a fast-moving vehicle not to mention the loud beeping that occurs when it's placed in reverse. Was she listening to her iPod? On a cell phone? How exactly did this happen?
You are assuming the back-up alarm was functioning.
Report on newsday.com says that it was. Or more accurately, that a spokesperson at the company that owns the truck says that it was. Police tested the truck afterwards so they should know whether that's accurate or not, though I haven't seen any statement from it on them.
