Yeah! Now the bums can bathe in the fountain!

The fountain does not look aligned with the monument. Good job.

I have to agree with you unless the photos are throwing it off it looks like it should be moved to the right a little more.

Before you say it, this was actually a terrific use of taxpayer money. This is more than bread and circuses; this directly affects quality of life.

that's a pretty sweet alignment

that's a pretty sweet alignment

i can't wait to be the first to do a soakin-wet satanic rocker pose right in the fountain! oh. damn...

Whenever I see someone in a fountain I wonder what diseases they could contract from it.

I know! Fountains are filled with dangerous dihygrogen monoxide!

How long until they stop letting people futz around in the fountain? Weather looks to be good on Sunday, so I'll say Monday.

However, the real question is: Can I still get totally harassed by dealers here when I'm just out for a walk?

Yes if you continue to dress like someone who is looking for what they sell.

WTH? it looks EXACTLY like it did before. What's the difference?

right, but 10" to the left, silly.

It just looked like they flattened out the space and sharpened up the rough edges.

I wonder if it'll be illegal to ride your bike through the center like it was before the renovation.

Perfect timing! I just got new trucks for my skateboard and can't wait to surf all that fresh pavement!

After looking again at the lead photo I still can't see that the fountain aligns with the arch which aligns with Fifth Avenue. Why is it that although the photo shows the fountain dead center on the arch, but as you look at the background you can see the west facades of the buildings on the east side of Fifth Avenue, but not the buildings on the west? If it was centered you would see an equal portion of both the east and west side buildings. And you would be looking up Fifth Avenue dead on. It's not that way.

It's a terrorist plot to misalign our monuments and public park features. Where's Rudy when we need him most?

Ok, really, what is different?
