Incase you were already thinking about back-to-school shopping, Mayor Bloomberg has announced a shopping event in September that will coincide with Fashion Week, called Fashion's Night Out. On September 10th, retailers in all five boroughs will stay open until 11 p.m., holding in-store events. The Mayor even has Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour on his side, though she'd never shop off the rack. She said the event will help protect the city's fashion "creativity and diversity." The overall goal here isn't to make you look pretty, though, it's to support local business, promote tourism and economic activity throughout the city as part of the Administration’s Five Borough Economic Opportunity Plan. The event will also boast a special limited-edition t-shirt with proceeds from sales going to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, and shoppers are being encouraged to donate their own clothes at participating stores for the New York City AIDS Fund. I want to celebrate shopping too! Hey mr. bloomberg, can i have some the the $140,000 you piss away every day on your campaign?
It's about jobs-like installing solar panels on roofs. It's about recognizing small local businesses that were once ignored in favor of big box and chain stores. It's about closing hospitals and firehouses so that the Yankees and Mets have new stadiums. It's about tax increases because he is the only man innovative enough to lead us out of this economic crisis. It's about Mayor Mike hobnobbing with that she-harpy Wintour, so that the rest of New Yorkers won't have to wear garbage bags and potato sacks while looking for these JOBS...
it's about loving everything....your pop....your kitty...all the things....
...the cat food...the little bits of crayons....the melted pieces........
......the loving friends...all the things you wish you had
gee, Bloomberg and ana Wintour.
add in donald Trump and you'll get the trifecta of NYC dickbags.
is this going into his TV Ad praising his 5 yr, 5 boro economic plan?
So on the one hand, Mikey wants people to shop for clothing. But on the other hand, he wants to reinstate the sales tax on clothing under $110. What mixed message?
I'd like to shop til' he drops.
