Military Plane Scheduled To Fly Over Hudson This A.M.

From the NYC Office of Emergency Management: "As per the FAA, a military plane will fly down and back up the Hudson River between the hours of 10:30 to 11:30 am today." We assume Air Force One is grounded, much like Sasha and Malia. Update: It was cancelled. Did Bloomberg complain?

Apparently they cancelled it

This is why I'm not so torn up about the AF1 debacle. I hadn't heard about this until now, so if I had been down there, maybe I would have been a little freaked out. Just because the city puts the message out doesn't mean everyone's going to hear about it in time.

Stupid. Military aircraft fly up and down the river all the time and people don't freak out. Unlike most other military aircraft, the AF1 thing got out of hand because it looks identical to a commercial airliner, and it appeared as if like a fighter plane was chasing it and about to shoot it down.
