May Rain Forever

Lots of spring weather coming up this week. As expected, Friday's cold front has gone stationary south of Long Island. Low pressure systems prefer to travel along boundaries like stationary fronts. We can expect rain from two such lows today and tomorrow. Measurable rain has fallen in Central Park every hour since midnight and should continue for much of the rest of the day.

The thick layer of clouds means the temperature will remain pretty steady in the 50s through tomorrow. Look for fog and more rain from late tonight until sometime late Tuesday afternoon.

We get a break from the rain on Wednesday, which should see some sun and a high near 70. The sun is expected to be short lived as almighty Thor is winding up to throw a few thunderbolts on Thursday. Good thing it's severe weather awareness week.
