Quantcast

Early Addition

  • From the Gothamist Newsmap: a male shot on Bedford Ave in Brooklyn, another person shot at 205th St and 9th Ave in Manhattan and a pin job on Rockaway Blvd in Queens.
  • As seen above, No Doubt "reunited" for the first time in five years yesterday morning on Today. To show how relevant they still are, they kicked their set off with some ska.
  • A 91-year-old woman died in a house fire in Canarsie.
  • A Pace student claims that she was raped inside the club Love on MacDougal Street in the West Village Thursday night.
  • NJ authorities say a dead body in a river belongs to a Passaic man who is suspected in the death of his three-year-old niece.
  • Well-dressed robbers forced a Queens woman—who had been sweeping her front steps—into her home and tied her and her husband up before they took cash.
  • The White House put up a video of President Obama showing (off) his jump shot in a little game of PIG with the undefeated National Champions from UCONN.
  • And contrary to earlier reports, PETA has no plans on taking on Michael Vick as a spokesman—at least not until he proves himself remorseful. A PETA rep said, "The goal is to weed out that the guy is a clinical psychopath."

"pink job on Rockaway Blvd in Queens"

Heh. Since people are always asking what terms used on the newsmap mean, I'll point out that this is actually a "pin job," not a "pink job." Rescue of a person pinned in a vehicle.

But no one will ever be saved from that awful manicure.

re: No Doubt - thank you for putting the word "reunited" in quotation marks.

    To those who are confused:

They never broke up. And it's not "Gwen Stefani and No Doubt". It's just No Doubt.

    Thank you drive thru.
